Assingment preperation

We are now starting to look at past presentations which are helping us brainstorm for our own assignments. The asingments in question are on one particular subject of our own choice. In the portfolios from past pupils, we had a look at what they had done and graded them on what we thought their mark was. All the portfolios we looked at were a grade D and above, and were all very colourful and interesting, im looking forward to starting my own

Refelctive learning

So reflective learning? how do i feel about this statement.
Reflective learning to me is being able to review and evalaute myself,critisize myself constructively and being able to say that i could do that project again and i would do it better! its about growing and learning and finding your own comfortanle learning style and being able to say that i found that hard or that it was difficult but also saying that in the end i suceeded!!! :)

Session 4 with Mandy

Session 4 today in the ICT room and i learnt how to add gadgets to my page guys! Moving up in the world.
So i helped my friend lucy today create her blog and helped get her started. This really helped me actually, i had to remeber what we did in the session last week and i found this helpful as i tried to jog my memory!
We also looked for 5 bloggers who blogged about education, i foudn some really useful people who i have now added to my following list ( Oh yes!)
In class on the board we also went on bubbl.us and created a spider diagram and we added comments of what we thought a reflective learner should be ( another gadget i have recently learnt to use, result!) this is becoming a very useful online diary :) blog soon!!

Hello Blogger!

My name is Sophie Ann Crates and i was born on the 2nd of March 1993 at 12:55am :) I live in a town called Neath which in comparison to many is very small. My life long goal is to be a primary school teacher. From a young age i have been described as confident and loud and very bubbly, im hoping these qualities will help me a long the way to becoming a teacher. I want to help young children learn and develop life skills and i want them to enjoy their time in primary school just like i did. Im currently in Swansea Metropolitan University studying Educational Studies in the first year . My course will last for 3 years and then i will apply for an extra year to do a PGCE course where i can then become a teacher! Yay! roll on the next 4 years :) xoxo

My First Presentation

Last week in our lesson with Mandy, we were given the interesting task of finding reliable and genuine websites. We were put into groups of three where we had to pick a topic we all found generally interesting and find a website with plenty of information for us to talk about. The topic my group chose was Festivals. We chose festivals because it was a common interest and in the summer of 2011, festivals became a very popular thing to go to and more poular acts started headlining the stages. We found a website called Global Grasshoppers which was a very informative website with the 10 best musical festivals to visit in europe. We found this website very interesting as it gave us plenty of things to talk about.
